My research examines how multiple stressors affect plankton communities and the early life stages of marine organisms. I combine field oceanography, laboratory experiments, analytical techniques and mesocosm studies to understand contaminant exposure and ecological effects across biological scales. My current research also explores the environmental implications of alternative marine fuels and multiple-stressor interactions under changing ocean conditions.
